Xander

Xander is a wisecracking, sex obsessed underachiever who has roiling emotions just beneath his impassive surface, such as frustration at not fitting in as a brain, a jock or object of Buffy's romantic attention. Xander is a contradictory mix or joke guy and angry guy and is often the truest true-to-life character. As a member of the Slayerettes, he is the accidental hero who inadvertently comes up with a great idea or who suprisingly stakes a vampire.

Xander's best friend since Kindergarten and, unbeknownst to him, biggest fan is Willow Rosenberg with whom he co-founded the "We Hate Cordelia Chase Fan Club". Witty yet undisciplined, Xander is often tutored by Willow, even though his grades remain less than spectacular. His family life remains vague: the most we find out about his bickering parents is that his unemployed father once considered selling him to some Armenians and his mother can't or doesn't cook.
